The basic idea of nanomodification of UV coatings is to impart polymerization activity to the surfaces of nanoscale inorganic particles in order to incorporate them into the polymer network as an additional crosslinking site during radiation curing.<\/p>\n

UV crosslinking produces a polyacrylate nanocomposite, which has numerous advantageous properties compared to the unmodified polyacrylate layer:<\/p>\n

Increased scratch and abrasion resistance
\nVery high chemical resistance due to increased diffusion resistance
\nImproved soiling behavior<\/p>\n

With regard to the surface mechanical properties, several standardized tests clearly showed the effect of nanomodification.<\/p>\n
